Blocking Property of Certain Persons and Prohibiting the Export of Certain Goods to Syria

This executive order declares a national emergency and imposes sanctions on Syria, blocking property of individuals and entities supporting Syrian government activities including terrorism, occupation of Lebanon, WMD programs, and undermining Iraq stabilization. It prohibits export of munitions, most commerce-controlled items, and other U.S. products to Syria, with limited exceptions for food and medicine, and restricts Syrian-owned air carrier operations in U.S. airspace.
