Presidential Determination
Extension of Waiver of Section 907 of the FREEDOM Support Act with respect to Assistance to the Government of Azerbaijan
President Bush extended the waiver of Section 907 of the FREEDOM Support Act, allowing U.S. assistance to Azerbaijan despite restrictions, citing counterterrorism needs, military readiness, border security, and assurances it won't harm Armenia peace efforts. The Secretary of State was directed to notify Congress and publish the determination in the Federal Register.
