Determination Pursuant to Section 2(c)(1) of the Migration and Refugee Assistance Act of 1962, as Amended

This May 3, 1994 Presidential Determination authorizes the release of up to $5 million from the U.S. Emergency Refugee and Migration Assistance Fund to address urgent humanitarian needs of Rwandan and Burundi refugees, returnees, displaced persons, and conflict victims. The funds may be contributed to international, governmental, and non-governmental organizations. The Secretary of State is directed to notify Congress and publish the determination in the Federal Register.
