Continuation of the National Emergency With Respect to the Situation in or in Relation to the Democratic Republic of the Congo

President George W. Bush continued for one year the national emergency declared in Executive Order 13413 regarding the conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, maintaining sanctions blocking property of certain persons contributing to the conflict. This annual continuation is required by the National Emergencies Act to keep the emergency measures in effect beyond their statutory expiration date.
