Executive Order 12478

Transfer of authority to the Secretary of State to make reimbursements for protection of foreign missions to international organizations

This executive order transfers authority from the Department of the Treasury to the Department of State for approving and reimbursing extraordinary protective services for foreign diplomatic missions and international organizations. It also transfers any unexpended appropriated funds to support these reimbursements, effective October 1, 1984.
