To Extend Nondiscriminatory Treatment (Normal Trade Relations Treatment) to Products of Mongolia and To Implement an Agreement To Eliminate Tariffs on Certain Pharmaceuticals and Chemical Intermediates
This proclamation grants permanent normal trade relations (NTR) treatment to Mongolia by removing it from the Jackson-Vanik amendment requirements of the Trade Act of 1974, effective immediately upon signing. It also implements a WTO multilateral agreement to eliminate tariffs on certain pharmaceutical products and chemical intermediates by modifying the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, with specific effective dates set forth in an annex.
