To Extend Nondiscriminatory Treatment (Normal Trade Relations Treatment) to the Products of the Republic of Georgia

President Clinton issued a proclamation extending normal trade relations (most-favored-nation) treatment to products of the Republic of Georgia, effective immediately upon signature. This action implemented section 3002 of Public Law 106-476 and removed application of the Jackson-Vanik amendment (Title IV of the Trade Act of 1974) restrictions on Georgia, following its WTO accession in June 2000.
