Proclamation 7637
To Modify Duty-Free Treatment Under the Generalized System of Preferences
This proclamation modifies U.S. trade preferences under the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) by adding Afghanistan as both a beneficiary developing country and least-developed beneficiary developing country, withdrawing duty-free treatment for a specific article from Chile, terminating a previous waiver for Chile, and extending duty-free treatment to a certain article from sub-Saharan African countries. The changes are implemented through modifications to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule with staggered effective dates tied to Federal Register publication.
