Proclamation 7858
To Take Certain Actions Under the African Growth and Opportunity Act
This proclamation terminates the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire's designation as a beneficiary country under the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA), effective January 1, 2005, due to a presidential determination that it was not making continual progress in meeting AGOA requirements. It also modifies the Harmonized Tariff Schedule to remove Cote d'Ivoire from lists of eligible countries for trade benefits, including textile and apparel preferences.
