Proclamation 9880
Addressing Mass Migration Through the Southern Border of the United States
This proclamation extends for 90 days the suspension and limitation on entry of aliens across the U.S.-Mexico southern border, originally established in November 2018. The extension is tied to two conditions: relief from court injunctions blocking an asylum rule, or a Mexico agreement permitting removal of aliens under INA provisions. It also directs continued diplomatic consultations with Mexico and requires a joint recommendation from three Cabinet secretaries within 75 days of injunction relief.
